Rifo Lab

Rifò is a circular fashion brand founded in the textile district Prato in 2018 by Niccolò Cipriani with the aim of fighting overproduction and overconsumption in the fashion industry. The vision of a world where every textile waste is transformed into a new resource is at the core of our business.

For this unique approach of combining an ancient textile tradition with sustainable innovation, Rifò is not just a circular fashion brand but also a wide collaborative circular economy project. Since its foundation, the primary objective of Rifò is in fact to offer consumers a regenerative alternative to the linear economic models adopted so far by fashion companies.

In 2019, the company was the first to introduce in Italy direct circular services to collect and recycle old garments disposed of by consumers through transparent and traceable supply chains.

In 2020 Rifò was formally recognized as a B-Corporation, thus proving the achievement of the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

In 2021 Rifò created an important social impact project on its own (Nei Nostri Panni), combining training and social integration with the local tradition of textile recycling.

Nowadays Rifò counts 24 members in its team, 5 clothing collections entirely made with recycled textile fibers (cashmere, wool, denim, cotton, and silk), 25 local suppliers and more than 300 retailers in 20 countries worldwide.
